We built Reclaim The Day with a simple rule: we never store your family's schedule. The calendar sync tool runs directly inside your personal Google account. Your calendar events, children's schedules, and account details stay strictly between you and Google—they never touch our servers.

2. Google Calendar Access & Permissions
Our sync tool connects directly with Google Calendar to add practices, games, and school events to your shared family schedule.
Google Limited Use Disclosure:
Reclaim The Day's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Here is exactly how the tool interacts with your Google Calendar:
- Calendar Permission: We request permission to view and update your Google Calendar (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar) only so the tool can place events on the specific calendar you choose (like your shared Family calendar). - Showing Your Calendars: The tool lists your available calendars in a dropdown so you can choose where events should go.
- Preventing Duplicate Events: The tool checks the events already on that calendar to make sure it doesn't add the same game or practice twice.
- Adding & Updating Events: When a game time changes or a practice is rained out, the tool updates or removes the event so your family schedule stays accurate.
- Zero Outside Transfers: Your calendar events, attendee names, and family schedules are never sent to, stored on, or shared with any outside server, marketing platform, or third party.
- No AI Model Training: We never use or share your family's calendar data to train or improve artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning models.
3. How Your Data Is Handled
Because of how this tool is built:
- Your Schedule Links: The calendar subscription links you save (sports leagues, school districts, clubs, or work calendars) are saved inside your own Google account's secure storage.
- Your Events: All synchronized events live exclusively in your personal Google Calendar.
- Website: Our website contains simple, static pages. We don't run user accounts or databases that track your personal information.
4. We Do Not Sell or Monetize Your Data
Your family and children's schedules are strictly personal.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or calendar events.
- We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or commercial third parties.
- We do not train artificial intelligence models on your family schedules.
5. You Are Always in Control
You can change or stop syncing anytime:
- Remove Any Feed: You can delete any schedule link at any time right from the sync tool. You can choose whether to keep past events on your calendar or clean them up automatically.
- Disconnect with One Click: You can completely disconnect the tool from your Google account anytime by visiting myaccount.google.com/connections, selecting Reclaim Day Cal Sync, and clicking "Delete all connections". Access stops immediately.
6. Security
Because the tool runs directly through your Google account, sign-in and permissions are managed by Google's own security systems. We never ask for, see, or store your Google password.
